Margot Robbie has a few rubber shoes to fill, but as lead actress Greta Gerwig paves the way to her dream home, Barbie looks like she won't be walking in those stilettos. 

Variety confirmed on July 9, 2021 that Little Women director Gerwig will direct a live-action Barbie movie, with Robbie attached as Mattel's size zero superstar. 

Under Gerwig's direction, the white-haired icon who has held roles as a president, doctor, teacher, fashion designer and Olympic athlete will be forced to face his feminist critics.
